Can it just be in the genes?
I have 3 sisters, so there are 4 of us, and we all produce milk like crazy.
We have all donated our excess milk, I pumped 900 ounces plus a month AND
nursed my daughter for 4 months, then down to 600 ounces a month for the
next 6 months with #3. #4 wasn't as abundant, around 400-600 ounces for 9
months with her. At 15 months I can still pump if I want to.
Sister #1 was told to not bring any more milk for her preemie as her milk
was taking over the freezer.
Sister #2 donated her milk for 6 months or so
Sister #3 worked full time and traveled and still had more than enough milk
to donate. She did this for 18 months before having to take very powerful
medication and stop nursing.
So could genetics be a part of it?
