I tell moms that up until a few years ago, hospitals were still telling 
mothers to use alcohol even though the research showed this was 
detrimental and midwives knew better. In other words, such practice 
rarely has any foundation in science. I wonder why people don't think 
it odd that babies can have baths in hospital, but cannot get into a 
bathtub with the mother? Where is the common sense?

I use co-bathing a lot, but almost always in conjunction with Bach 
Flowers in the water (especially clematis and walnut, but just Rescue 
Remedy if you want to keep it simple) and usually CST as well.
