World leaders are meeting at the UN in September to discuss Millennium
Development Goals, among them the goal of reducing the number of women who
die each year in pregnancy and childbirth.  This number has remained stable
at about half a million for at least twenty years.  Please take two minutes
to sign the White Ribbon Alliance's letter, to be delivered at the meeting.
The goal is to have half a million signatures, one for every woman who dies
each year.  It costs you nothing.  Please also forward this post to anyone
else you know, or post about it on your blog, to make it as widely known as
possible.
