Hi Pat,
It is the subtitle:  The book's actual name is In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan.  I bought it even though the index didn't list 'formula' but actually there's some great discussion in the book about the development of AIMs.  I really enjoyed the whole book and it's a quick read.
