I'm behind on LACTNET, just saw this post, and can't find the original question, but  I've worked with many babies with failed SFS. There is a product that will maintain the prescribed thickness even when used with breastmilk. It is xanthan gum based. I have no financial interest, but keeping with LACTNET's policy to avoid brand names I won't post it. Please contact me privately if you want to discuss this.
