Dear Friends:
I am interested in practical tips, experiences and advice from breastfeeding
counselors and lactation professionals that work in places where there is
random and sporadic gunfire, where clients live in fear, and where healthcare
workers have to deal with incredibly high stress situations.
The reason is that I spoke at a local program today; when I learned of the
situation that the clinic workers find themselves in, I promised to find
information to help promote and support breastfeeding despite craziness and
dangers in the local environment.
Refugee camp workers are another resource I can think of that would probably
have useful suggestions.
Does anyone know of any places to look for such advice?
warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, BSN, Mother of 2, MS, IBCLC, CCE, CIMI
