Well, I politely, yet firmly stated my opinion about the show, on the "Official"
NBC site on the "baby borrowers" message board.
Three of my messages were deleted, with the message that the post "had
nothing to do with this thread." They certainly did.
Also, I can no longer access the account I started at NBC.com. I have sent
them an email asking why I cannot access the board to post, and why my
email Addy continues to be rejected.
Hmm. I wonder why?
I was LactMom, so you can see what remains of my posts.
In one of the posts which were deleted I did ask if anyone from Child
Protective Services was aware of what was happening on the show. Again,
the NBC plant (acting as a regular poster) went on a rant about "no one's
baby is going to be taken away" (never mind that CPS does other things that
this, like education ect) and going on a rant that Breastfeeding is simply "not
necessary" and why did I bring it up? Evidently she is not aware of how
damaging this type of thing is to either a baby or a breastfeeding relationship.
I even tried to re-register with an other Addy, but they must have IP number
on file.
Censorship in essence.
Ladies, please, if you can and are willing, try to go to the site and at least get
a few posts in, remain polite, but stressing breastfeeding as not really being
possible when children are separated from their mothers, ect.
Someone, actually a number of people at NBC just aren't "getting" it. I wonder
if any ABM companies were sponsoring the show? I'm guessing that they
were/are.
Thank you all,
I'm ready to boycott.
