I'll add mine. My son shocked a physical therapist in our hospital's rehab office -- and it was actually kind of funny! My son was getting speech therapy thru the hospital at the time. I was very pregnant with baby #3 and one of the staff members stopped and asked Liam if he knew whether he was having a sister or brother. Then the person asked if he was going to help with the baby? Liam didn't seem to know what she was asking so she got more specific and said "Are you going to help mummy feed the baby?" Liam looked at her in absolute horror and declared loudly "I can't feed a baby! I don't have breasts!!!" The flustered staff person muttered something about getting clean diapers for mummy and fled the scene. I don't think she was expecting that kind of response.

All of my kids have nursed their baby dolls and I've caught my son trying to get my 22 month old to latch onto his practically nonexistent nipples when she's fussy and I'm busy! "I"m trying to get her to nurse on me while she waits Mummy!". IT never works - baby looks at him like he's lost his mind and shoves him away but I think it's sweet that he wants to try to comfort her the way I do.
