Hi all.
Had a mom today who delivered yesterday. Mom has a case of the shingles,
which is under her arm.
She was told to pump the breast nearest the lesions,..and to nurse from the
other breast.
I have looked this one up...the advice seems correct, seeing as the lesions
are starting to encroach on that breast.
Good handwashing, sterilizing pump parts, etc. also are appropriate.
If this virus is related to the chicken pox, when does it manifest as
chicken pox and when as shingles?
Kathleen
