Subject: Seeking support for book for breastfeeding kids on ideablob

For the past year or so, our LLL Toddler group has been trying to
track down all of the breastfeeding friendly kid books we can find.
One mom half joked that we should write our own pro-nursing kid book,
since there are only about 8 on the market. (As opposed to the 9000
books on the market showing everything from baby bears, dogs, and
monsters to baby humans holding baby bottles, or even just subtly
advertising formula by having bottles all over everything.

I even wrote to a couple authors and illustrators, including the
children's book illustrators forum, to ask if they would consider
stopping showing bottles in books. We had a fascinating conversation
and I learned that many publishers and library groups WILL NOT ALLOW
DEPICTIONS OF BREASTFEEDING, MALE NIPPLES, OR UDDERS ON COWS. I am
not joking, I wish I were. Udders, I ask you.)

Anyway you may have heard of ideablob. It's a fun website where
anyone can propose a business idea, no matter how small or wacky.
Hundreds of other folks read the ideas and vote for them. The top
vote getter earns $10,000 startup for their project. I'm so thrilled
because our "Breastfeeding book for kids" idea is among the top 10
right now. We need a bunch more votes to get us to the top. Can you
help us out by

a) going to
http://ideablob.com/ideas/2442-Children-s-book-depicting-breas?filtered_view=true
and voting for idea (you may have to sign up
for ideablob, however, the website sends me about two emails per year
so it's not a site that generates a lot of garbage mail)

b) making constructive comments or giving advice

c) sending the idea to everyone you know and posting it on your
social networking pages

Thanks so much! Betsy
