Hello,
It was suggested that I post here.
One adoptive mom-to-be has been preparing for ABF. However, recently, she learned that they may be the recipients of twins. They would be around nine months old. Her supply thus far is not great, since starting to pump in preparation, but she felt that it could be adequate, with supplementation, for one child. She is pumping about three onces per day. this would definitely not be enough for twins, she stated.
One suggestion was to try increasing domperidone to 120 mg/day (usual = 90 mg). I also told her that nursing babies would increase her supply. I do not know if she is pumping at night. I'm wondering if manual expression would be more effective.
And I'm wondering if there is such a thing as a supplementer for twins. Do twins awake simultaneously at night??
Thank you,
Wendky
