This is really weird, the title says Toddler Dies in sleep and it is a 10
day old. The yellow police tape graphic really gets me.

Subject: [LACTNET] Fiji: 10 day old baby died in his sleep after being
breastfed
[very odd news item - I would assume that breastfeeding is common in Fiji?
Very odd to link breastfeeding as the cause - presumably all babies are
being breastfed at 10 days? This really is a case of "breastfeeding gets
all the blame"
Reading Pamela's post of recent days, where she said that SIDS was unknown
in certain African communities - I wonder if SIDS is the case here, and they
don't know how to diagnose it as that?

Toddler dies in sleep
Monday, February 11, 2008
A 10 day old baby boy died in his sleep after being breastfed by his mother
in Naitasiri village early yesterday.
The mother breastfed the baby and went off to sleep only to wake up at
around 2am to discover the baby was not breathing.
The police are awaiting a post mortem examination report.
The incident has prompted another piece of advice for parents especially
mothers to be careful when breastfeeding their baby at night.
