I have tried to search the archives about blanching of the nipple, breast
pain, vasospasm and Reynaud's phenomenon, but keep getting a reply 'No match
found.." I know this has been discussed many times here.
I have a client who has severe stabbing, aching pain after nursing.
Sometimes she sees a blanched nipple, but not every time. She does not have
any other signs that suggest yeast, nor does her baby show any signs of
thrush. Her nipples are intact: no abrasions, cracks, etc. Baby does latch
well and transfer milk well. Her baby is 8 weeks old and this has been
occuring since day 1.
I have her permission to post this info and ask for input. Thank you all.
