I had a client recently whose baby was tongue-tied and unable to nurse. She
had been pumping for months and had what looked like white callouses
covering the tips of both nipples. I've been doing lactation work for 38
years and had never seen anything quite like it, so suggested a
dermatologist. He told her to wash with Cetaphil soap, and use Cetaphil
moisturizer. Also gave her triamcinolone acetonide cream. She said these
"callouses" sloughed off and her nipples were entirely normal in 24 hrs.
She'd had this condition for months.
