Hello. I am an IBCLC in private practice with an interest in donor milk banking. A
colleague and I are becoming a donor milk collection depot for Bronson Milk Bank in
Kalamazoo, MI. We have been approached by a neonatologist at a local hospital with donor
milk questions. I feel that I have a good handle on current research and guidelines but I
was hoping someone else had been in a similar scenario and could lend some advice. This
hospital currently does not use any donor milk and perhaps isn't that well-educated about
the subject at all. I am preparing a presentation and want to be as evidence-based as
possible.
Anyone have any advice about how to best go about this?
Thank you
Amy Slotten, RN, IBCLC
Ann Arbor, MI
