I just received this forwarded message from my daughter, who lives in
Albany, NY. I am not that happy with it!
I love the idea of *baby rooms* or *family rooms* where ALL mothers
can go to change or feed their little ones.
I do NOT like the idea of special *nursing centers* or *lactation
rooms.* Pumping rooms are a different story.
It should be made VERY clear that by law, in New York State, mothers
may nurse their babies wherever they choose, otherwise we will have
people directing mothers to *do that* only in pre-selected places.

Somebody PLEASE tell me that somebody got the story wrong!
Check out the remarks made by the various dignitaries:

>Breastfeeding has just had another historic moment in Albany. In an
effort to take a lead in compliance with the recently enacted Nursing
Mother's in the Workplace Act, Lactation Rooms have just been opened
on each floor of the Legislative Office Building (LOB). The NYS
Breastfeeding Coalition applauds the Legislative Women's Caucus and
the Senate and Assembly leadership for moving so swiftly to comply
with the law. Please see the link below with the news announcement and
a video clip of the room. We should all send letters to our State
Senators and Assembly members applauding them for doing such a
wonderful job.
