<She constantly wants to be
on the breast. If she acts satisfied or sleepy, it never lasts more than 20
minutes. With a toddler in the household, this mother is having a hard time
keeping up with the needs of both her children and getting adequate rest for
herself. >
What about a sling? Some babies have a greater need to suck and are
sometimes soothed by close contact rather than being at the breast.
In my experience with my own sucky baby, being in the sling gave her that
needed time. It also kind of swaddled her so that I could take the sling
off, keeping her cocooned, and lie down when I needed to. She still had my
warmth and smell from the sling, and I got much needed rest.
