Hello Nancy,
Thank you for your reply; the question came from me. ;-)
I am looking for a picture and am quite sure I saw it in some other written
item than the magazine you mention, haha.
Come to think of it... maybe what I read was so vividly described that I
drew up a picture in my own mind...
I'll keep looking; I already described the process in the document I am
working on, so hopefully my description is vivid, too.
Another question (yes, I'm roaming through all sorts of issues and books and
physiological processes...): I seem to remember that goose flesh is
connected with an oxytocin surge.
Can't find this connection, though. I do get links that explain the
fight-or-flight system to be responsible (raising our (vestigial) hairs will
make us look more impressive), but I cannot find a reference to the
calm-and-connection system (Kerstins terminology) that causes awe and
fascination to make us shiver, although we all know that this happens.
Anyone who can back me up on this one...? Thanks!
Warmly,
Marianne Vanderveen, Netherlands (who is still fully intrigued by Kerstin
Mobergs book and lecture on oxytocin and all its effects... and whodreamt of
being a grandma last night, nursing her granddaughter by relactation... yes
apart from Kerstin, Karleen Gribble was at the English conference,
discussing re- and induced lactation :o))
