Is this mother taking any meds for her disease?

Subject: Connective Tissue Disease and low supply

Hi,

I am currently working with a very desparate mother who has connective 
tissue disease, a new 7-day old baby, and very low milk supply. I worked
with 
this mother with her first child, and she had very low supply during the
course 
of breastfeeding with that child as well. 

My understanding is that this disease is similar to Lupus in that  the 
connective tissues of the body become inflamed and a primary target of 
pathology. Currently, this mother has no symptoms. She has had no
symptoms 
for 2 years. Why, then, would there be a problem with her supply? I am 
searching for the mechanism behind low supply and inflammatory diseases.
It 
would be nice to have some type of explanation.

We will be trying mom on Reglan, but this didn't work with her first
child. She 
used an SNS for 6 months with the first child, and really does not look
forward 
to having to do this again. If anyone can contribute to a theory here, I
would 
love to hear from you!
