Yep, Melinda! I believe you might be right. I may have erred. (I don't pay
much attention to which rep work for which formula company.) I knew they
would be in the gift bags, but was not aware that the formula company was
making them part and parcel of their contract. We could continue to purchase
ours directly from the Snappies company I guess, but that leaves a bad taste
in my mouth.

I'm almost positive that it is Meade Johnson that has the relationship with
Snappies. Unless it is Ross, also? I'm pretty sure that it's Meade
Johnson supplying our NICU with Snappies as long as they buy the MJ human
milk fortifier. Also, the Snappies will be in the Meade Johnson "gift
bags."
I know this was discussed before on Lactnet, I'll have to look in the
archives.

Subject: Snappies FYI
I received a Snappies brocure form our purchasing department at our hospital
with the following note scribbled on it to the purchasing agent from the
Ross Rep.
"Snappies can be added to your contract at a price of $ .35 each or at no
charge for normal needs usage at a rate of 1 Snappies per container of our
Human Milk fortifier or premature formulas...."
Needless to say we are switching to Medela storage containers.
