Hi All,
I have a mommy I've become close to who is having terrible insomnia
problems. She has started seeing an acupuncturist who has suggested the
following herbs for her to take. I have no clue if they are safe - he says
they are. Feedback please?
Thank you!
My acupuncturist recommended an herb formula to help my sleep. He did some
research and they were fine for breastfeeding, but one was contraindicated
for pregnancy because in high doses it could cause uterine contractions. I
thought I'd check them all with you just in case, if you don't mind :)
Here's the formula:
Light Wheat
Black Jujube (a kind of date)
Poria
Jujube (also a date)
Oriental Arborvitae Seed
Licorice
Silk Tree Flower
They're mostly food products, but I just thought I'd check with you!
Warmly,
Jaye Simpson, IBCLC, CIIM
