Hi All,
I wonder if the gape issue is due to the feeder not eliciting a wide open
mouth prior to inserting finger for feeding.
I have watched many babies lose their gape due to just that with finger
feeding and bottle feeding - even after I specifically SHOW (and have
parents show me in return) HOW to elicit the gape. I think they just get
lazy or something.or forget the importance.I'm not sure - but it does
happen. I frequently remind them to make sure the baby OPENS! :-)
Warmly,
