Hi. I am looking for an online "email-able" resource that talks about normal
newborn behavior. It seems I keep running into moms who think that babies
should not need to nurse before the clock strikes the 3 hr. mark. Also, they
seem to believe that bottle-fed babies would give them much more time to
themselves. I wish new mommies were better prepared in general, but it sure
seems like I hear this a lot. I think it would help if I could say "see.
here is says, it is NORMAL for a baby to want to be held in between feeds!"
etc.
Secondly, I was wondering if there is a diagnostic tool (photo diary would
be awesome!) somewhere for diagnosing nipple problems associated with bad
latch. For example, what does a crease mean if it is here or there, a
smooshed nipple, etc.
You can post or email me directly for either resource.
