Most hospitals have mandated that patient (and parent) information now be at
a 6th grade level. Used to be 8th grade. We are having to redo all our
handouts. Not sure if this is a JCAHO recommendation or just a California thing
(where everything has to be in Spanish at 6th grade level as well.).
