I haven't used LACTNET for years but am now the AAPL for LLL in western PA, and also seem to be getting more strange questions lately. I also need to recertify by exam for the IBLCE.
My husband is an OB/Gyn in central PA; and I am the office manager/lactation consultant. We have 5 homebirthed, breastfed, home educated children ranging from age 29 to 16. I have been a LLL leader for 26 years and an IBCLC for 20. I have lived in Chicago, Indiana, Maine, and PA. Our practice is in a low income, non-breast friendly area. My husband clips frenulums because every-one that needed to be clipped was told to wean, wait till the baby was a year old and then under general anesthesia to get a "difficult" procedure done.
I was spurred to get back on because I have questions about trace blood in stools of a 5 month old baby. The archives did not address my concerns completely.
