I love your Watching The Sunrise and will surely use that often and give you
credit. As someone who nursed children 3-4 years each in "nose and chin to
breast" in cradle position only and has seen different nursing styles come
and go, (ask Kittie Franz and many others), I like to keep a lot of tools in my
kit so that I can assess each nursing couplet separately. That RAM on
technique still sorks better for some folks. And boy, have I seen some pretty
wierd positioning in the mall but everyone looked fne and it was not my
business.
Where I will rant right along with you is about the partially educated
'experts', giving out incorrect and inconsistent, incomplete, information,
chastising parents and making them feel crazy, sad, confused and ready to quit. We
have to do something about standardization of protocols, and enforcement of
such. I also wish someone clever would design an incident report form for
parents so they could report, in detail, violations of their feeding choices,
rude treatment, verbal abuse, and other harrassments people actually pay for at
the hospital or LC's office. Enough.
