Many years ago, when I was teaching Childbirth Preparation classes, I
had a mom in my class who seemed to have the fantasy that if she had a
Cesarean, people would take care of her. I did try to address this in
class, but she wasn't "buying" it. It didn't require psychic powers to
see her future: yes, she had a Cesarean, and was very disappointed that
her non-nurturing family did NOT take care of her.

What a sad place to start caring for a new human being from.
