Domperidone speeds up stomach movement through the gut. It's a long
term drug, in that people using it for original purpose, can use it for
years. It's also used to stop people throwing up. :-) Available over
the counter here for stomach upsets.
I was prescribed it for gastric reflux in the late 80s. It worked very
well, but I had to come off it... I began lactating. :-)
