Not exactly BF, but I think it lines up with our concerns about the formula samples.
The article examines who is most likely to receive the sample meds that the sales reps leave with MDs.  MDs often state that they use them for patients who might not otherwise be able to afford their meds.  In other words-a safety net.  Isn't that the argument often used to support giving out the formula sample packs?  The study did not bear this out.  In fact, their concluding statement says it all:
"Our findings suggest that free drug samples serve as a marketing tool, not as a safety net."
