The hassle of supplementing at the breast seems a bit
counterintuitive at this point.
Regarding the above discussion about supplementing the 12 month old at
breast, I'd like to add that the first thing that struck me is that I don't
know any nursing toddlers who would all the sudden accept an SNS into their
nursing experience. By that age, they are pretty specific about how and
where they like to nurse, and their specifications usually rule out the
introduction of tubes and gadgets. I don't remember from the initial post
if the mother has already tried the SNS or is just thinking about it, but
this is something she might want to consider before putting money and hopes
into it.
