Debbi Hefern states "I prefer to focus on the cradle with self-attachment

natural way to = hold a baby."
I find this interesting b/c my feelings are; the cradle hold is the natural
way to bottle-feed a baby. That's all we see in the bottle feeding
communities and I think that especially early on the mom probably needs to
have her hand behind the baby's head to prevent him from pulling off. Once
s/he has the task mastered there is no need for the hand behind the head.
