A midwife is consulting me re: her client whose baby has had the frenulum (I
assume it's labial) clipped twice with no improvement in pain, and "still is not
getting the motion he needs with his tongue. There is more of a biting with his
gums and her nipples get so beat up."
My experience so far with tongue ties is that after clipping either immediately
or within a week or so, mom reports less/no pain. In my research I can't find
anything about babies who don't improve after clipping.
Any input or ideas as to what could be happening here would be appreciated.
Thanks and blessings,
