Subject: [LACTNET] too "out there"?
I wonder if the comment has nothing to do with the breastfeeding but that
the particular mother may be seen as too much out of the mainstream of
society (the obviously artificially colored hair).
**Hello Winnie,
If that would be the reason, than many women/men could never be in a
picture, as many people color or curl or streighten their hair artificially
(or tan or lift their skin). ;-)
Doing it 'secretly' (i.e. without other people noticing it straight away)
apparently causes fewer problems... It's never right: we're either too
brave
or too 'weird', but in fact we're 'normal': we breastfeed! :o)
Regards,
Marianne Vanderveen, Netherlands (with a 17 year old who made dreadlocks in
her hair Summer 2006 and colored it red... at least hair can turn
'mainstream' again someday and causes way fewer problems than smoking or
drug abuse or violence or excessive drinking... or formula! hahaha)
