Diana - All three of my children are nursing (7, 4 and 19 months) and they all actively transfer milk. My son (the oldest) not so much. It's actually quite funny - a while back he was nursing immediately after the baby had been and I put him on opposite side to the one she'd just finished. Both breasts still let-down when I'm nursing so it was rather full. As soon as he latched on, I had another let-down. He gulped and came off and said "Mum! What did you do THAT for!". So while he gets milk, he doesn't stimulate let-down; he's jsut drinking foremilk. My 4 year old daughter; however, gets a full let-down and gets mad if I limit her nursing time because she misses "the next milk" (I let-down twice - immediately and about 5 - 10 min later).

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before. - Steven Wright
