I love this thread! Learning other people's names for nursie has always been a
favorite pastime of mine. My daugher called in "nursie sides". My son just
say "nah-nee, mommy". They tandemed, so you can imagine the chorus!
Maddie was a very early and articulate talker, so we got raised eyebrows a
lot! As for using slang words like boob or tit, I have noticed that more moms
are comfortable with referring to their breasts as boobs than tits. Is that a
regionalism to the Eastern USA? I also find that some moms respond to the
use of accurate clinical names for anatomy, while some relax their guard when
you call their parts by the slang. The trick is knowing which approach to take
with which mom.
