Does anyone have a copy of "Transcultural Aspects of Breastfeeding" by MM
Taylor, part of the Lactation Consultants Series 1, that they could scan or
fax to me? I used to have a copy but seem to have misplaced it in one of
our moves, and now of course it is out-of-print and LLLI no longer carries
it. I need it for a class I am teaching :-) Thanks in advance and you
may reply to me off list.

As an aside, about code words for breastfeeding-all three of my children had
different nemaes for nursing (and they all dremt them up on their own, with
no help from me). My eldest (who is now 11) called them "Munyas" and for
the longest time I couldn't figure out why....then I realized that he
couldn't say the "g" in his name and so said Munya for Morgan. Now of
course my breasts were his while he was nursing, so he called them by his
own name!!
My daughter, who is 8, called them "Na Na's" and my youngest, who is 4 and
still nursing, calls them "Nummies". All of them twiddled or played with my
hair while nursing, all would look at me while nursing until they fell into
that drunken milk state. My daughter decided that my breasts made
different flavors and that has carried onto my youngest (they tandemed for
2+ years) who now declares that one side is vanilla, the other avocado (his
favorite food)!! The older two nursed until age 6 or a little beyond. Don't
know when the youngest will stop and don't really want to think about it
either!
