I searched the archives but could not find what I needed. We have a mother of a compromised? NICU infant who asked the physicians about giving her infant probiotics. They suggested that mom take the probiotics and that the infant would still receive benefits through mom's milk with less risk to the infant's compromised immune system. Has anyone had any experience with this? What probiotics were used?? Would anything be passed through the milk.
Thanks,
Chris Smith, RN, IBCLC
