In Australia, VBACs are almost never induced or augmented. Induction is
known to cause a four fold increase in uterine rupture so if a doc attempted
this and there was a complication, s/he could lose his/her licence and would
most likely be sued. If induction is routine in VBACs in the States, I am
not surprised that insurance companies won't cover doctors who practice in
this way.
Evidence based medicine???
