Diana,
As a nursery nurse, I can tell you that it is very common to mix formula
into breastmilk. For premature infants, breastmilk is typically fortified
with powdered formula to provide more calories in a smaller volume of milk.
I have often wondered what negative affects this has on the breastmilk.
Unfortunately, I don't see how we could get around it as we do not do any
sort of test creamatocrits on milk.
