I'm astounded that they would accept as valid any study on breastfeeding adequacy in which 88 percent of the women *in the control group* (can I possibly be figuring this accurately????) either were supplementing or had stopped completely by 6 weeks. This is so wildly far from normal that their use as a control group is totally shot. Seems to me that all the study has shown is that American women, left to their own devices, don't breastfeed very well at all and you might as well give them any drug you want, regardless of its impact on supply.
