 Well, have you tried to get mom to pump until the second let down? I am thinking that this might help. I have been dealing with this similar situation. Some babies seem to tolerate the forceful let down, and others do not. Also, the Australian hold might help. Have mom lay semi flat and put the baby on top of her. When the let down comes, then the extra should just flow out of sides of baby's mouth instead of choking baby. Keep encouraging mom.
