I have checked archives, and though I am sure I have seen this
discussed, I can't find anything quite right.

This mother has a baby aged 3.5 months. She began a period 4 days
ago. Since that time, she has experienced intense headaches followed
by vomiting *on let down* at every feed.

She has a long history of menstruation-linked migraines, to the
extent that she took the contraceptive pill as a treatment, before
she became pregnant (it was partially effective).

When she was pregnant she no longer had migraines, except *during
labour* when again she suffered vomiting. She has had no migraines
since the baby's birth, until, as I say, the start of her period 4
days ago. She also suffers pain in the opposite breast from the one
she is feeding from (but not the one she is feeding from - I can't
explain that).

Now, we do not need Sherlock Holmes to think 'hormones' (I didn't
ask about whether she had migraines as a result of sexual activity).
But I can't find out what role oxytocin has in menstruation.

We can be surer of this if her headaches and vomiting go in a couple
of days when her period finishes.

Where can I find more information about this, and is the next thing
simply to ask the doc to represcribe the pill?
