When I posted about Motherlove nipple cream I also used a disclaimer that I
sell the stuff. That is, as far as I know, appropriate. I did not ask
anyone to buy from me - I made LN aware that I have a personal interest in
the product as well as a professional one.
My personal opinion is: If one does not want to read about different
products - then skip those posts. If one finds them boring or irrelevant
that is fine - skip the post. However, I for one am most interested in
learning about many different products because the fact of the matter is
there is so much stuff out there I can't possibly carry it all for sale or
buy it all for investigation. Many moms ask me questions about different
products and I have no clue - where else can I go to learn? LN of course.
I have been learning from LN since 1995 - am I to stop now? I surely hope
not!
Currently I am researching the many different bottle nipples out there
hoping to find some information that is up to date and useful to my clients.
If I cannot ask the questions or start a discussion then what is the point
of this group? If I cannot respond to someone (or the group) re: a product
I know something about, what is the point of this group?
This group has been here for 12 + years assisting many of us in our growth
and development as Breastfeeding/Lactation Professionals. I know for
certain that I have learned so much that has helped me help many many moms
over the past 12 yrs. I simply don't know what I would do if I didn't have
this group to express ideas, thoughts and concerns. Where would I go?
For me the bottom line is - if I see a post that has a topic I am not
interested in I take responsibility for my own actions and skip it. Others
may find it fascinating.and that is what this group is all about.
Education.
Warmly,
