Hi Evelyn!
I wonder if the mother misunderstood, or someone got the info mixed up? It
seems that some folks use the B vitamins as galactagogues, particularly
Brewer's yeast, which I do remember as being used as a milk supply booster
many years ago. So for drying up, I've never heard of it, nor would I
recommend it. Although it will likely make little difference in her case,
either way.
I would encourage her to do an internet search, if she has access, to
convince herself what might be useful to her, and I would encourage her to
just continue the gradual weaning, which would be least traumatic to her
babies and her body. I bet that's what you've already suggested.
I sure miss all of you in Louisiana.
