I'm finding the phantom let down thread interesting!! 

I've got a story but it's regarding another species.  My friend has a
dog who has not been spayed, she has a pedigree and my friend had
considered breeding her at some point.  My friend got herself a kitten. 
The dog's mothering instinct was so strong that her teats got all
swollen and she nursed the kitten!  Isn't that funny?  This is a dog who
had never been pregnant, but there was a baby (never mind it wasn't a
baby dog) so she got right to it!  :D
