That is the standard advice of this particular pediatrician. He also advises that breastmilk contains no nutrients and is basically "water" after 6 months. Both I and the mom realize that he does not give accurate information, however, she is following his advice "just in case". Which has subsequently led to difficuluty for this mom. 

However, with that said, I am  still looking ( and not having luck) on whether pumping should be an issue for a BFAR mom who had nipple/areola replacement.

  I am a bit puzzled about the jaundice - why did the Ped advise no breastfeeding??? That makes no sense to me at all!
