Re: << I am gathering information to for a doctor on breastfeeding and Lyme
Disease. This is for personal and professional reasons. 11 yrs. ago I was
dx/tx for Lyme Disease while breastfeeding my 3 yo son.. He feels my son's health
problems and learning disorders are a result of Lyme exposure while
breastfeeding and his exposure in utero to my mercury toxicity (I was recently
dx). >>
For this kind of info to share with docs, it's hard to beat the credibility of the CDC. Here's their info re: pregnancy/BF: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/lyme/ld_transmission.htm
Evidence-based info is always to be found at kellymom.com too:

I suppose your doc could say there's no proof, but it sounds as if he's theorizing vs. using evidence-based info. Why is it that everyone is always so quick to "blame" breastfeeding when that's generally the most protective thing we can do?!?
