Subject: update on Norethindrone and Ethinyl Estradiol
Dear All,
Thank you to those of you who responded off-list on this. Mom did experience
some brief bleeding and severe back pain ( which was her manifestation of
endometriosis in the past) despite nursing twins but says it seems to have
self-resolved and she is now deferring the meds until such time the symptoms
manifest again and will re-evaluate as needed. She is very happy to have been
ed
ucated about the risks to her supply so she can make a good choice for herself
and her babies. It sounds like she will do everything in her power to defer
taking the drug, if not for the nursing duration then at least until the
babies are closer to 6 months."
Judy,
I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 26--the scarring was very severe,
the pain unbelievable every single month--I took a lot of meds in those days and
knew absolutely nothing about wellness care--yep, I was totally mainstream in my
life, except for being a vegetarian and working as an artist. That was when I
discovered both nutrition and homeopathy--actually the very day I was diagnosed.
I went off the meds, used homeopathy and eliminated all cow milk products from my
diet. Within 6 months I was symptom-free and have been ever since. The GYN wanted
me take a lot more drugs and have surgery. Instead, I got well and had a baby!
