I, too, was a product of some recipe the Doctor gave my mother in 1955 in
Ohio. I have been on medication for hypertension since about one year after my
son was born. So nearly 21 years. Actually at age 19 I had issues with the
Birth Control Pill. VERY HIGH. It took a year of close monitoring at the
Ohio State Cardiac Center while I attended the university there. I was able
to come off of the medications. I did have mild issues at the end of the
pregnancy with one and in labor with the other but did birth all natural, one
with Mag Sulfate. I had times in my mid twenties where I would go back to be
reassessed because my blood pressure was borderline (prior to my children).
There was no history in the family of anyone having issues at a young age. My
brother is asthmatic (better with age), my sister has bad issues with
depression and has always had issues picking up every bug that goes around, as does
her daughter, whom she did not breastfeed.
