Dear Friends:
This article doesn't define breastfeeding. And there is lot more research to
show that it does matter, such as the lovely von Kries
study looking at entrance physicals for school aged children. While there
were obese children in the breastfed groups, the incidence was half that in the
non-breastfed groups.
There is a 2006 study looking at children in the Harvard nurses study that
also showed a connection.
I am doing a presentation on this for a local diabetes center and I have a
.ppt presentation I will share if folks email me privately.
warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, MS, Mother of 2, IBCLC, CCE, CIMI
